Hello Everyone! Sorry. I've been off for days. I've been busy with my clearance, graduation applications and some finishing touches before graduation fall.

Plus,

Today, we had our Recollection day, which is weird because we already have our retreat and I thought that if you're done with your retreat it's okay not to have a recollection anymore. But we're thinking, maybe they push through with the recollection thing because last semester we kinda complained about paying the recollection fee and the retreat fee yet we only had the retreat.

Btw, here's what we did today :)

So I started my day early as unusual because I have to be in school at 8am. I woke up around 7am, had my breakfast and coffee and a few pics with my niece who just went downstairs to see me off :)

We were ask to graph the peaks and valleys of our life. In the Y-axis is the rate (top-down), Excellent, Very Good, Good, Fair and Poor, X-axis is your age. It's like, rating your life as you grow up-blah blah blah.

Two years back.

We (my circle of friends) went to this resort that is around 20 minutes (more or less) away from the city. We were 6 then. Everyone in the circle were still studying, all were in sophomores.

Ailyn and Matet graduated first since they enrolled only associate in Hotel and Restaurant Management, then followed my Rhel (last year) and now Janine and I are graduating while Grace will probably graduate next March, year is tentative though. LOLS.

Yesterday, we visited the place again, this time, it's a minus one. It was a last minute invitation from Grace and Rhel (who arrived first in the resort). Matet couldn't make it because she just arrived to her workplace and punched-in her time already. So, she can't escape. Me and Janine were in the middle of "signing our clearance and graduation application" and was with classmates "window shopping" in the mall was having second thought of following them (Grace and Rhel), we're thinking of ditching the invitation but it's too tempting. Plus, when I called Ailyn and asked if she's going, (who by the way was nearby-in the bank to run some errands) she said yes and skipped her work to meet us in the mall and we bought swim wears. haha. just those cheaper ones, and later turned out that the shorts she (Ailyn) bought was too small for her and when she really pulled the shorts up to fit her, it tore apart. hahaha!

but anyway,

What I really want to share to you is that, somethings just never change, aye?

Whoa. I miss posting pics with my classmates. Ever since the second semester, we've been busy with OJT requirements and OJT itself and so we find it hard to be together and have fun together, not until last Wednesday plus last Wednesday :D

Finally OJT's from Cagayan de Oro, Cebu City and Manila City meet all at once :D

Like I mentioned in my previous post, we're kinda busy for our graduation application and clearance-blah blah blah. Lots of papers to be sign, fill and answer. sucks!

That's our application for graduation. But see that paper on the top left? Yeah. We need to answer that one before the Guidance sign our application. Mind you! We did not answer 1 paper only but I guess it was around 5 with lots of questions about self assessment, school activities satisfactory and much more and I'm telling you! maybe, 2/10 only answered it seriously, mm..that makes it 3/10 including me, btw :)

But anyway, this was 2 weeks ago during HRM day. There were activities, competition but since I did not bring with me my camera, I can let you show what happened really. In these photos (on the right side), we're waiting for the "Flairtending" competition to start. Unlike last year's event, I'd say, this year was sort of a failure because only few numbers of students were there to participate. Sad, but true.

Pics on the left was taken during proper competition in flairtending. That was a good spot for us because we can see the whole performance thing-flawlessly. Too bad, again, to say that I didn't managed to even record one performance. Oh! no. first time :(

Another pics were taken during snack time :D This was after the event. We didn't wait for announcement of winners, instead, we straight ahead to McDo to eat. yay! I only had coffee and the rest had their McFloat :D

Graduation Day!

After 10 years in college I will finally march myself up stage to receive my diploma. I honestly am not excited about it. I fear that my life would turn upside down after graduation. That things won't go the way I perceive it to be. I'm not afraid of failures-I failed too many times already. Another failure means nothing to me now. I am more afraid of disappointments from my family. I am no good at handling responsibilities, neither to take care of other but myself. I don't know what to do and what will I become after graduation. All I know is that, I have to look for a job, stabilize myself and live my life the way I always wanted it to be! hooray!!!

My Boy-Friend's Girlfriend

I understand my last post: Message That left Me Hanging has raised a lot of confusions to everyone. I missed some details that leads to false assumptions and for that, my apology. To clear this out, I'd like to say that his gf is out of the picture. He really was the one who sent that message. He did it for some reasons that I swear has nothing to do with any romantic feelings. He thought it's for the best. I'd rather not go into details but rest assured he has no intentions of confounding me neither hurt me in anyways. He made his explanations but as much as I wanna share it to you, I think I would just keep it to myself, as the saying goes "some words are better left unsaid (as for me to you)" lol. Sorry if I have to keep you off from the details (I know, I owe you that one) but I think, I will just do what I was told to do. "Not to contact him in anyway anymore"

For what it's worth, I'd like to say thank you for all your honest opinions. Guys! You're truly the best!

Precautions: I posted a photo to show that this upcoming topic is sort of relevant to my previous post (but it's not connected somehow), so as not to screw things up. This post was composed last week but I was out of words and I kept editing it, changing and stuff and then finally decided to published just now. So, please don't think too much. ^_^

I'm a spoiled brat. I admit. I'm guilty of that. In my circle of friends (the other set; with guys) I used to be pampered. I am the princess, the only girl, the youngest, the star. All ears and eyes are on me. I don't need to clamor for attention. I have their attention. I used to be the apple of their eyes...

..and then she came along.

The Girlfriend

Girlfriend is defined to be "female acquaintance or romantic companion" compared to a friend with only one adjective-companion.

You know that feeling when one of your friends get romantically involved with another person? The feeling that you're left alone.

Neglected.

Unattended.

Forlorn.

Ignored.

You feel like you are being abandoned and that you are companionless. When they start being unavailable with you and your drama issues? When things start to change because of her. All you just wanted to do is to choke that girlfriend to death! *I'm KIDDING* lols

The Story

(My boy-friend and I)

I have a friend, a close friend, a guy. We spend time together all the time. He was the best. Until one day, things changed. I seldom see him around the campus. He starts avoiding me. He ignore my calls and he doesn't reply to my messages anymore. It's strange. He isn't the type. He knows I hate being ignored. It pisses me off. He knows I'll get mad. He knows it. But he didn't mind. So I confronted him the first chance I got. And then he said, it was his girlfriend who told him not to see me again. He didn't wanna argue with her that's why he did it. It was a foolish idea, I thought. I would never do that to my boyfriend. It's unfair. Besides, it's his friends. I am his friend. I wouldn't asked him to desert all his friends for me. I mean, c'mon! She should be more considerate, not to mention the fact that I met him first before she did. Right?

So to avoid complications, I gave way (for him). I tried to befriend her (his gf) but she's too classy and well, maybe, she really didn't like me (that's why). She thinks I'm flirt! That I'm flirting with his boyfriend. She thinks I'm a threat. Jeez! Get a life girl. I mean, whatever..

This is funny. The reason I included this one in my story it was because I recently had a talk with him (my x, you'll get to know him in my next post). He's currently working abroad. We seldom talk because his gf deleted me in his facebook account which by the way I find very very annoying yet entertaining at the same time. Annoying because I'll be outdated with his life, like I care that much? but after we broke up (which turned out we didn't) we still wanna be updated with each others life of course. You know, to see how things work out for us after the separation. Who moved on first and blah blah? haha..To make fun of each others update and stuff like that. Just like that. Just to bug each other. Nothing else.

~~So what happen now, we'd chat thru skype/ym without his gf's knowledge.~~

So my point is, gf's! please, don't be such a bitch. Not because I am your bf's xgirlfriend doesn't mean your bf and I can't be friends anymore. Okay? If you'll do that more often, you'll just push him to the edge. See what happen now? We still keep in touch without you knowing it because he's afraid you might freak out again! That's what you get if you'll let your jealousy win. Enough already. Just be cautious. You don't need to be mean or you don't need him to make a choice between you and me. Of course, I wouldn't mind if he'll choose you over me, that's alright. But let's not complicate things. We need friends. Let's not deprive our partners with that. Let's respect each others boundary especially if you know very well that "romance" is totally out of the picture. Well, not unless if you're not confident you could keep him still with me around, huh?.. *evil grin*

So here's for you ladies.."there must be a reason why your boyfriend isn't mine or isn't hers" okay? so, chill out! There's no way I'm gonna rob your boyfriend, okay? If ever, you think, I will. Then stop me. Let's have a girl-girl talk. May the best girl win =))

Alright, lastly..

Trust him. Don't let your jealousy rule over you, or it will eat you piece by piece and will leave with nothing but every piece of it-torn apart.

Message That Left Me Hanging!

DO NOT CONTACT ME IN ANYWAY ANYMORE!

I don't have issues with people telling me that, but I think I deserve an explanation why in the world they want me out of their life all of the sudden. Right? I mean, what did I ever do to be in this situation? I kept asking myself that question that very moment I got his text. I was stunned. I froze myself wondering why he said that, why he sent that message. Why oh Why?

I can't think of anything or anything at all that will make him say that no matter how hard I try to recall things between us. The last thing I remember was, he would call on in the middle of my sleep (around 2am or 3am-that's morning already) and I was concerned about that. I was worried that something might had happen. If his okay or what since I never answered any of his calls just those times. Until we finally spoke, he said he dreamed of me and that woke him up and that's the reason he called. And that's it. We had a nice a conversation. He even told me he didn't know what to give me during graduation. I was surprised, really. I never thought he'd thought about that.

Later..

We never spoke for a while, no exchange messages, no phone calls, no chats, although, I've been such a nuisance with him sending him 'pm' in facebook because I wanted to put him in my resume as one my references, and I was asking what's his title but he never replied in any of those. That really confuses me. But I thought, maybe he's just busy or something. So, I let it go.

And then one day, I got his text saying that I should not contact him anymore or in anyway which startled me until now. I don't know what to say, my reply was "ok" and then later, I asked.."Why?" but nothing, I got nothing. I don't know what happen. I don't know what to think or whatever. I then finally find myself blocking him in my facebook account thinking it's the best thing to do.

I did the right thing, did I? I mean, what kind of friend would do that? What could be his reasons? I want to know what, why, how? oh! I'm gonna die thinking about that! Sucks.

By the way, in case you're wondering. He's my friend, I mean, I guess? We're close. We share things, gossips and we've known each other for a while now. We're okay. He has a girlfriend by the way but I don't think it has something to do with his action. I don't know what changed him. I don't know what made him do that. He has his reasons, I know, but what could it be? Oh! kill me now!!!

It's been a week already since he start calling to wake me up :D And he do that every morning. So even though I'm still so damn sleepy, I don't wanna waste his effort so I'd get up and start my day no matter how early it is for me :D

So, how's your day? I hope everything goes out well. ^_^ As for me, I had a terrible morning. I dropped my ring (friendship ring) into the sink while washing my face and it took me almost two hours before I recover it. Gosh. I was so damn worried I'd lose it. ^_^

Anyway, today is no ordinary day. Just another day of massive dumping of photos. But this time I'd like to share my niece's pics taken a week ago. She's five now and she's changing so fast. She became more wiser and meaner each day that comes. But whatever. I love her still :D

A Table For Two (My Brother's Marriage Proposal To A Fellow Blogger)+Matthew's Tagged Post

Hello fellow bloggers! ^_^

Today I will be sharing with you my brother's funny marriage proposal that took place at Vienna Kaffehaus here in our city.

Expect the unexpected.

First, let me tell you how I ended up being there during the proposal..

The night before my brother proposed, he showed me the ring and asked me what I think about it. I simply replied, "okay" not bad at all. I find it too simple for an engagement ring. Yes. For me it was the simplest ring I've ever seen but it's cute. It's just that, as I said, it's too simple. But of course, what I think don't matter, though I said, you should have told me this earlier so I can take a look some rings too and blah blah blah..

I then told him, let me know when are you going to propose so I can spy on you guys and sneak some pics. But he told me, nope! I'll ask Edwin (he's friend) to take the pics because I don't want you posting and sharing this in your blog-but see? here I am. haha!

Yesterday morning, I received a message (SMS) from him telling me to meet him at Vienna Kaffehaus at 6pm that afternoon because he wasn't able to inform Edwin ahead of time and Edwin did not bring with him his camera so he wants me to be one to take the photos while he's proposing-which by the way made all things a little bit awkwardly funny.

Why?

Because in the cafe, although there were customers also, but lucky for us we're sitting somewhere at the corner of the kaffehaus and they were just right next to me so, that left us unnoticed-which is a good thing.HAHA! I was watching and listening the whole time (before, during and after) my brother made his proposal. Don't you find that funny? I did. =))

The whole scenario..

it wasn't the most romantic, cool and sweet proposal ever but it was the funniest, one that neither me and Joan would ever forget. haha! My brother didn't even know where to put the ring-right or left? he put it on first at Joan's right hand and then later removed it and put it on her left's. crazy, right? I was laughing til the end. haha! Maybe he was nervous and he felt awkward with me around, but as for me, I did really enjoy that moment. haha!

but ALAS! he made it through, ALIVE. ^_^ that's all. ^_^

Next time, will share with you my thoughts about engagements esp. my brother's engagement and marriage :D

Question Two- What super power would you pick? The ability to read minds to teleport to anywhere you want to three times a day, to see everything you touch turn into gold or to turn into a cockroach on a whim (that's not really a power though but still!)

-Reading minds is so awesome, I guess. I'll know what people thinks about me and whether I'll be happy about it or I'll just high five them in the face, plus it will be a lot of fun reading peoples' crazy ideas. Invasion of privacy at its finest baby! Ha! :D

-Enrique Iglesias. First, because he is hot. Second, because he is hot and sexy. Third, he's hot, sexy and I love his voice. :D

-a guy let me out in his car and left me in the middle of nowhere at 1am in the morning because I didn't wanna make out with him. I was scared to death and I wanna cry out load but I didn't, of course. But the good thing was, he came back and apologized and he sent me home after :D

Ilocos Tour Series (Pagudpud): Ocean Blue (Battling to Survive)

Hello once again! I'm back and I'm telling you, today is the best day to rant and bombard you with lots of nonsense. whoa.

Do you know why?

It's because I have all the time in the world (just for today) to drawn myself blogging (of course, visiting your sites, reading your posts and the rest. you know what I mean, aye?).

Anyway, today is the second part of my Ilocos Tour Series which I think was the most amazing day of that tour we had. In this post (sorry for the delay), you will see how beautiful the world we're living in and how creative our creator was.

But before that, allow me to copy+paste some information I found about the place we visited.

Pagudpud,

a 1st class municipality and a coastal resort town on the northernmost tip of Luzon Island in the Philippines. According to the latest census, Pagudpud has a population of 20,385 people in 3,804 households.

The town is bounded to the south by the town of Bangui and to the east by the Cordillera Mountain Range, the town of Adams and the province of Cagayan. The South China Sea lies to the west and north. The town rolls over mountains, hills, valleys and flat coastal land. It lies 45 miles (72 km) north of Laoag City, the provincial capital, and about 350 miles (560 km) north of Manila. They reside in 3,804 homes that are spread across 83 square miles (210 km²). Most make their living through farming, fishing and subsistence retailing. Tourism is a growing part of the economy.

Pagudpud was made a municipality on February 5, 1954. Unlike Laoag City, the province's only autonomous city, Pagudpud derives its authority from the provincial government. It had previously been a part of the neighboring town of Bangui. credit to: wiki

Honestly, I have no idea about this place. The only thing I had in mind about Ilocos was the place called Vigan City. I've heard and read about the place since I was in high school and I told myself, one day, I will visit that place ;-)

So it happens! ^_^

When my brother's friends Edwin and Mel went to explore the place (Ilocos), I was able to check some of their photos and OMG! I became even more excited to see the place myself (esp. the rock formation). It was really beautiful, really really beautiful.

Anyway, without further ado. Brace yourself as I'm about to take you somewhere you've never seen before =))

-also considered as the 4th longest bridge in the Philippines, is a winding bridge hugging the cliffs of the Northern Cordillera Mountain Ranges which connects the barangays Balaoi and Pansian and is about 1.2 kilometers long. Dubbed as the “French Riviera of the North” for this breathtakingly beautiful coastal drive, one can pass by Mabugabog Falls, a source of power for the mini-hydroelectric plant. This pretty bridge features a blue sea and sea birds on one side and the beautiful mountains on one side. Can’t be any nicer than that! source here

It's been a while since we had our last conversation. I dunno why I am writing this after 40 days of hearing you're missing. I'm still hoping you'll find your way back to us.

I remember writing something about you (for the first time-Mai's First Boyfriend (Due To Insistent Public Demand)) in my blog. It was really fun reminiscing all the memories I had of you. Our first meeting (not the first time I saw you), the first time you came to visit me in our house, that time you introduced yourself to my parents, the first time you kissed me, our first fight (over some crazy cellphone,beer, motor keys and my so-called boyfriend) and our first long conversation (over some stupid fight I had with my guy classmate), I remember you laughed so loud when you heard about it. You were so annoying that time, you even suggested I should have kicked him! Creepy!
Oh! I remember that time when I mentioned to you about my blog? where I feature you as my first boyfriend? (you asked, not your first love?) I thought you'll get a little upset when you read one of my reader's comment, but instead, you just said, past is past. That we should just move on? It made me uncomfortable. I was not a good girlfriend and yet you remained friendly to me, even wanted to get back together. You never blamed me for anything. Not a single complain. Though, you always questioned me, "Why things never work out for us, Mai?" and I can't tell you that I'm not yet over with someone (though I'm really trying) and that made things harder for us. Gosh. Ilocos Tour Series (Laoag City): 4x4 Off Road Ride Adventure @Sand Dunes and the Breakdown

Hello! I'm back. ^___^ Since I'm waiting for my cousin and my friend's time to get off from work, I decided to just sit down (at my cousin's internet shop) and do some blogging :)

First, let's start with our Day1 tour-Laoag City Tour since I already shared to you my first night (arrival) at Ilocos..^_^

SAND DUNES

The Ilocos Norte Sand Dunes (INSD), one of the Philippines' national geologic monuments, stretches along the coast from the Municipality of Currimao to the Municipality of Pasuquin in Ilocos Norte. It was declared a National Geological Monument on November 26, 1993. Though common in desert environment in higher latitudes, the INSD merited the title of a national monument because of its uniqueness in Philippine setting and its scientific and educational significance as a natural laboratory for geological studies. source here

Fort Ilocandia Resort

Fort Ilocandia is a complex that houses a hotel (dubbed the only 5-star resort in Northern Luzon), a casino, a shopping complex, a collection of restaurants, and a mini zoo. There are also dining options outside of the hotel near the beach where you can dine in quaint cottages facing the sea. The sand dunes are also a great natural feature that is quite unlike most parts of the Philippines. For the tourist who would like to have every convenience that one place has to offer, Fort Ilocandia is the best lace to be. source here

Marcos Mausoleum and Muesum

Batac, Ilocos Norte is most famous for two things, the specialty empanada, and the Marcos Museum. South of Laoag City, Batac is fondly dubbed by Ilocanos as the home of great leaders because of the numerous iluustrous figures that hail from the town, including former President Marcos. The museum houses hundreds of memorabilia, and eerily enough, the body of the president himself, encased in wax in a dark room, available for the public to see. source here

Malacanang of the North

Malacanang is the presidential palace of the Philippines, located in Manila. However, during Ferdinand Marcoss presidency, he constructed a vacation house in his home province of Ilocos Norte dubbed Malacanang of the North. It is located in Paoay, overlooking Paoay Lake, and is a picture of the decadence and extravagance that the Marcoses were infamous for. The mansion is well-preserved, but is undeniably frozen in the past, giving the tourist a sense of how it was like during its heyday. source here

Paoay Church

Just a short ride from Paoay Church is the UNESCO world heritage site Paoay Church, famous for its oriental-gothic-baroque architecture, and contruction that dates back to 1694. The bell tower also has historical significance as it served as a lookout point for the Filipino guerillas called Katipuneros guarding against the Japanese forces. Be impressed by the thick walls and buttresses that were constructed to withstand the earthquakes the frequently shake the country. source here

How are you all?
It's been a while eh? I am so sorry. I know, I know. I should be posting my Ilocos trip a few days ago but there's something you need to know. I'm back in Cagayan de Oro and as you know our house and everything else inside has been destroyed with that typhoon named "SENDONG" and that means, no laptop and no internet connection and that's kind of a problem for me :( but I swear, I'm trying to find ways ^_^ I hope everyone of you do understand my situation. I miss you guys:(

Off the topic, as I've mentioned, I'm back in our city and it felt strange seeing the city from above (plane)..once again, I'll find ways to keep you posted and you'll see the difference. For the mean time, I gotta go. I think my time is up and I'm hungry. I honestly do miss everyone in blogsphere :(

Ilocos Tour Update

Hello awesome people! ^_^ How are you all doing? As for me, I just got back from our 3nights,3days tour in Ilocos (Laoag City, Pagudpud and Vigan). I'm still tired and sleepy. The more than 10 hours trip back to Manila is sickening :( I wasn't able to sleep in the bus plus it's so pretty cold and I don't have my jacket/sweater with me :( I'm so poor. huhu..

Anyway, about my trip..

Love Story In A Bottle Of Liquor

Note: This isn't my love story :) You've read mine few months ago and I'm about to share the one's my friend whined about last Christmas eve.

Aiko is my classmate since the start of school. She's quiet and pretty. I didn't even know she's into "relationship" thingy. I really thought she's single since birth but alas! she's not.

Last Christmas eve, Casey bought a bottle of Gin (750ml) and 3 bottles of Beer (jumbo) and 8 of them celebrated the Christmas after the exchanging gifts. Wondering where am I during that night? I'm all alone in the room with my melodramatic life, thinking of all the people in my city, my family and if you remember-John David Varian (My still missing friend). Out of those 8, only 6 of them (Aiko, Claire, Sharisse, Rhams, Casey, Jilla) really last till the end. I took a video of them unfortunately it was too large to upload and we don't have a converter right here :(

One vomited, one was speaking English until fallen asleep, one turns into color red (I think she has allergies in liquors), one was feeling okay, other can't walk straight and the last one ended up whining with her love story.

"Aiko's Frustrations with Love"

I was chatting with my friend Tess when I heard Aiko's voice yelling about something.."Why would he do that? Why acted so sweet to me if he didn't like me? Why do such a thing if he had no plans of courting me or anything? Why give me misconceptions about his actions if all along it meant nothing? Why say I love you and then forget about it? I was curious upon hearing those things. hmm. Who could that be? Aiko's been telling me stuff about this taken guy in school she likes who also "likes" her also and yet they can't do anything about it because the guy has a girlfriend but Aiko didn't know about it until maybe few months later. The guy was too scared to let her know that he has a gf because he didn't wanna lose her. Which is stupid, I guess. They're friends, they like each other but the guy didn't court her-Why?

Why? I mean, my question is. Why guys are so unpredictable? Why kiss a girl and then pretend like nothing happen? and then later on, court another girl and talk it out with you. Doesn't it sound stupid? Crazy? Annoying? Frustrating? Confusing?

Why is it so hard for guys to admit they like or dislike someone?

Yeah?

Tell me guys, did any of you did the same thing to Aiko? I mean, being sweet with someone today and sour in the following day? haha. What could be your reasons? Enlighten me :D

BLUE CHRISTMAS: STILL PRAYING FOR THE SAFETY OF MY MISSING FRIEND JOHN :(

Words can't express how I feel since that day my friend Faye texted me informing that my friend John is missing since Friday due to that typhoon "Sendong" that hit our city and caused a huge damage to lots of residents in downtown Cagayan de Oro and Iligan City.

I know, I shouldn't be talking sad words since Christmas is coming days from now but I dunno whom to share it. I've been anxious for days now. I can think well and eat well. I am physically present here in Manila (OJT) but mentally absent since my mind is somewhere else with John :(

My friend John is missing (and I don't know what to do about it) but I'm still holding on..

If you remember this post: Mai's First Boyfriend, you would know him.

Now, all I want this Christmas is for him to be found safe and sound. Please do pray for my friend John. :((

I'm About To Break My Promise :( Killer Flood Took All Away My Simple Way Of Living

It's my day off and I was supposed to share something funny or happy about my current life in Manila City but two days ago something happened in our city-Cagayan de Oro City, Mindanao. If you've been watching news all over the country, you will know that our city is experiencing great loss of living and life. I can't say much though since I wasn't there to witness the incident of what we call-nature's wrath-unstoppable FLOOD.

Our family was one of those hundreds of people who experienced that. We lost everything my brother worked for-fancy stuff and all. Nothing is saved. I even cried when I heard the news. After my sister told me they're all safe, I was at peace. Then my niece talked to me and told me about what happened to the laptop. Needless to say, I was really sad. But still I am thankful that everyone is safe and fortunate enough compared to the other victims who lost not only their houses and living but also love ones :( I prayed for all the victims of that calamity :(

Now that you know, you would realized that we lost our laptop (everything) too and that would mean-no more blogging for a long time which saddens me more :( Internet has always been my life since I was seventeen and I just can't imagine my life without it :( I will miss everyone for sure. I might ask my friend to take care of this account when I get back home. He told me he visits each of your account every time, so, for that I am happy :) It was a simple gesture and a little hassling but he's happy to do it-I know, lol. Like he have a choice =p

For now, all I can do is to pray for the rest and safety of everyone who are still missing. Let's all be hopeful despite of the fact that it was really one awful disaster, let's just learn from it-if we don't, calamity like this will keep on happening. This is a wake up call, don't ignore! Let's all take care of all the living things around us especially our mother nature, respect it and protect it. :)

Christmas Is Just Around The Corner (Mall of Asia): We Are All Alone This Christmas

Hello fellas! How are you all? I hope everything is doing great and all of you had a nice weekend :)

It's been 10 or 12 days already since I had my last post and I'm telling you, every time I wanted to write something, share something, I just couldn't find a time. I started my On the Job training already and that's one of the reason why I can't have all the time to sit down and type. For now, it's my day off and I'm telling you, I woke up early to share this with you.

This was taken almost two weeks ago when we had our bonding session at the Mall of Asia. It's an old (days) one, lol. I mean, as much as I wanna share to you the things around the place where I have my OJT, I can't because camera is not allowed there. oh! not that it's not allowed but they said that I have to secure first a permit or something to be able to take some shots and everything.

As you know, nine of us will be spending Christmas away from home but then we did is to get the best out of it instead of rambling something out of the situation :)

Manila Series (OJT): The Day After The First Two Days (When Darkness Prevails)

If you imagine our life last Monday morning till Tuesday night without "electricity", like no lights,water, electric and all cellphones are battery empty, how will you picture it? DISASTER!!! Because we don't have water in the dorm, since our water is powered by electricity, we went across the road (to our land lady's house) to take a bath. Which I find so hassle at that moment.

Now, it's past 8am and thank God I had a good sleep last night :) I still don't have my breakfast and I'm hungry. T_T

Manila Series (OJT): First Day Sucks!

It's past 6am today and I can feel everything sucks. From the room temperature to the sound of the electric fan.

Oh! just before I start ranting, I finally was able to borrow Rham's laptop since he's out in the kitchen making some breakfast of himself. Anyway, as you know, I am currently in Manila City and will be spending the rest of the months (3months) here (Christmas and New Year included). So far, I had trouble sleeping last night (I think I said that wrong). It was hot in the room and it's noisy (electric fan is buzzing around).I got back pain because maybe of my backpack I carried yesterday and also because I don't have a pillow. Oh! Pity me. I just can't believe how expensive everything here. I couldn't even afford a pillow-I mean, I'm saving. haha!

So, yesterday was a disaster, our flight was delayed for an hour and 30mins and at Manila Airport, it took us almost an hour to get a cab-sucks! But anyway, let me share to you some of the pics taken :) have fun!

JUST IN TIME

So my brother finally made up his mind not buying me a backpack, it's kinda depressing but I'm totally cool with it. He's spending much already for my studies so that's okay. And I think I'll just use the north face bag he owns, which is so big for a petite girl like me-minus points for a lady. haha!

Anyway, in case you're wondering, I'm leaving on Saturday. I'll be staying in Manila for about 3months due to our On the Job training at some hotel in Malate, Manila. That would mean, no blogging for a while because I don't have a laptop :), sad right? but I'll try to update whenever I get a chance. (sigh), My niece told me not to leave :( she said she hates my instructor because of that. touchy!

hay! I'm starting to miss facebook. LOL

By the way, the other day, we had our yearbook pictorial and my friend Esthel managed to sneak a photo inside the room.

One Day

I just finished watching this movie "One Day"

a movie adaptation of the same name of the novel by David Nicholls. It was a touching tragic love story between two best friends who managed to stay away from "romantic" attachment over the years for some reasons and remained friends despite of the love they're feeling with each other.

This isn't gonna be a review about the movie. I'm horrible at writing reviews, plus, why would I write a review anyway? for what reason? I mean, c'mon. I dunno. I just really wanna say something about the movie. Not that I can relate. I don't have a gorgeous hot good looking bestfriend because my bestfriend happen to be a girl and she's married. And I am happy even though I don't really like the guy because for whatever reasons- I don't know. But, seeing her happy is enough for me.

Anyway, I just realized in the movie how pretty bad it was to be in love with your friend, bestfriend, if I may correct that. I mean? It's confusing right? (they said, the best person to marry is your bestfriend and yet you can't even have the guts to do the first move) Sometimes you would say, you don't wanna screw up the friendship over love because you're very certain that it will eventually fade and you'll just gonna ruin the friendship. Instead, if you realize or even think that you're in love with your friend, you then pretend to be in love with someone else, which is stupid by the way. And your friend too would be too coward to tell you his feelings because he's afraid you'll avoid him and blow him off in the face. C'mon! Why is it too hard to tell someone you love them? especially if it's your friend? I mean, especially if you can feel the connection between you two. Why do you have to draw the line "friendzone?" when you can actually cross it with crossed fingers? Life is short. If you think someone is in love with you and you love her too, go ahead. Give it a chance. Life is short to be wasted "thinking" duhhhh. Make it happen idiots! HAHA! I mean, I am in the right position to say this because if I like someone I always find the courage to let that person know how I feel regardless of how embarrassing it will be . I've been rejected countless times. Shed a half full glass of tears over a guy once and I'm looking forward of that moment to happen again. I get tired trying but it makes me feel alive and happy. I don't mind being hurt. It was actually a good feeling loving someone who can't love you back. It's exciting. Intriguing. Challenging. It makes you smart. Really! you wanna tell me why? :)

What the hell am I saying here? I just wanna say tha Jim Sturgess is so damn cute. Ops. I'm sorry Enrique Eglesias but it's just a crush. haha. I love Anne Hathaway's British accent. And I love Europe and It's ancient style. Ugh!

I've got nothing else to say today. I'm bored :( I've finished all the series, movies and pocketbooks stuck somewhere and now? I dunno what to do? I'm bored. really bored!!! haha!

Anyway, we watched Breaking Dawn with Janine and my cousin and two of her friends and it was undeniably boring :( I mean, maybe 3/4th of the whole story was. Actually, just exactly what I expected. So, that's it. I'm really looking forward for the part 2. I can't wait :D

I know you hated The Twilight Saga but C'mon..Jacob is so fuck*ing HOT!!! ugh!

My sister is currently watching the movie "P.S I LOVE YOU" and I kinda ruined the moment. She told me to shut up because I was being a total spoiler bitch! HAHA!!!

So Yesterday..

I mentioned in my previous post that I will be having my exam ~~today~~ yesterday, and yeah, I had my exam ~~today~~ yesterday. It was a tough one and we really had a hard time figuring things out. I changed my drinks at the last minute, from Vodka Tonic-Bacardi and Black Russian-Brave Bull, omg! thank God I was able to memorize the concoction and somehow made it through alive :)
We messed up at wine serving though T_T, but still-we're able to cope.

I remember I made: tequila sunrise, screwdriver, vodka tonic, Gin tonic and black Russian and just after presenting it, poof! we poured it out into the sink..oh!!! what a waste..but, nobody wants to drink it, esp. me, I hate the smell of alcohol =))

here's a little synopsis..

Mr. Finch (Michael Emerson), a mysterious billionaire, developed a computer program for the government that predicts terrorist threats to the US. It was designed as a means to prevent another 9/11-type disaster, but Finch discovered that it was also predicting many "irrelevant" (non-terrorist) crimes. The non-terrorist data is dumped to a separate database and deleted each night. Finch realized that a great many domestic crimes could also be prevented if that data could be used. Finch built a backdoor into the machine that allows him to retrieve a list of Social Security numbers of people who will be involved in those crimes in order of occurrence. Unable to investigate the data on his own, Finch hires John Reese (Jim Caviezel), a former Green Beret and CIA field officer who is presumed dead, to help stop the crimes from taking place. The world thinks that Finch, like Reese, is dead. So far, the series is good. Lot's of thrill I believe. The pilot episode was good and Jim Cavizel is doing a great job. Whoa. From the Passion of the Christ to The Person of Interest-cool.

Since my grandma died, we've been celebrating All Saint's Day @Cemetery since All Soul's Day is no longer a holiday. Meaning? We've been practicing this for like 3 years now. My cousins would set up a tent and we'll spend our whole day, whole night there-non stop eating and chatting. Last Nov. 1 was different though. Rain ruined the moment! Check out what happened to us all..

Everything was doing okay when we got there, it was traffic but my cousin managed to park the car very far from where we were though.

You see..

Kids were having fun! They made the balloons fly like a kite. haha!

This is the only thing that keeps me away from all things that I do. From household chores, to my addiction and all. I mean, I can totally ditch everything/everyone for this. Even boys yo! haha! Seriously! I can sit my ass down the whole day reading this stuff (crazy right!), lying, leaning, standing, eating whichever way. In fact, I can listen to the class discussion while reading one of these, of course, not in an obvious way.

Anyway, my sister brought these pocket books since last week (and brought another batch just today), she borrowed it from her bf's sister who's also very much into this (thanks to her). ^___^

I remember when I was in high school, my father almost threw a whole box of these into the fire because he was so pissed of me doing nothing but reading (skipping meals and ignoring their requests).

Gosh!

I begged off!

It wasn't mine in the first place, so why in the world would I allow him to burn those stuff down? right?

Anyway, that's it.

Since then, I lay low with my addiction. I avoided reading on plain sight especially in the house and do most of the reading during classes hours. haha! I use candle or flash light during the night. And lastly, I check every now and then if father is out and then I read :D

Hay! this really makes me a hopeless romantic absurd person on the planet earth!!!

Gosh. I hated that!

Chemistry for me is a very very fascinating subject. It tackles a lot of things. It's colorful. It's wonderful. It makes you understand things. It can drive you nuts. It can makes you the man who knows it all.

Why I'm Single: Reasons Wrap Up In One Post (I Love Being Single)

Sorry for the hiatus. And thank you everyone for all the votes. ^_^ although, I do not expect to win this thing anymore after my uncle told me he'll just give me $40 ~~just~~ for me to stop bugging him with all this voting stuff. So, I guess that's a good thing aye?

Back to my topic =))

I am overwhelmed with all the comments you left me guys. For some reasons, I don't wanna mislead you. I guess I've been misleading you this whole time. I mean, I wasn't able to express the things that I really wanna say because I'm having hard time translating. ~~Gosh! If only I listened to our instructors way back, I could have use that learning now. Proper use of words and grammars and all.~~

But that's not the point, what I wanted to say is that, instead of stating the reasons why I'm single (which I'd like to end up now), I shifted to, why "ladies" around me are single. I did a survey (just my friends) and asked them one by one why they're single and so I came up with this idea.

To end this whole thing up. *for me*

I'm single for a lot of reasons but the one on top of it, is that.."I Love Being Single"

Yes. I honestly love myself too much to share it with others (well, of course, the guy in Someone Like You is the only exception).

Although, I must admit, when I was in High School, my plan was to settle down at the age of 25 and now @26, everything changed. I realized, it's not it. I mean, I'd love to have a serious relationship but not now is not the right time yet. I still wanna be free as a bird and careless as a baby. And suddenly, I wanted to stay single as long as 35. haha. Sure, I'd love to hook up with guys too but now is not the right time also. Maybe when I get a job, a stable one and on my own, that's the time.

I remember having this conversation with a guy friend. He asked me this.

Mai, do you have a boyfriend? Then, I answered, none.

Then he blurted, why?

are you lesbian? I was like, what the hell?!

being single doesn't make a person gay or lesbian, for Pete's sake! why would he even think that? Oh no! Now I remember, he's not just the first who thought I am a lesbian. I guess I'm too cute to be one. I mean, C'mon, I am totally totally into guys. ^_^ I love guys. they're adorable and they're the only creatures that could kiss you like hell. hahaha! tada! I was just trying to light things up. hehe

Going back..

I'm single because guys just can't handle me. They don't like sticking with me because I'm too friendly with other guys and they hate that. Right? So, break up follows. ^_^ Also, I go out with girlfriends most of the time than with my boyfriend. ^_^ Plus, serious relationship freaks me out. Really. I'm more on a relationship that is open, no commitments and just purely for fun. That sucks for guys. Plus, again, I'm not sweet and not really a jealous type, they hate that too. Not really to mention that sometimes, life is unfair. I wanted to stop complaining on how bitter am I with guys who don't like me because they don't find me pretty, hot and all because, reality check, my friend dwizzt is right, it goes the same way to me. I have to admit, I look into physical appearance first before anything. But trust me, that only applies for a very short period of time. True love does not require physical beauty, but beyond. Besides, beauty lies in the eye of the beholder. So, that's it.

What else? I guess that's all. haha.

Being single is way more fun than being in a relationship. ^_^
